I need to uninstall JDK 8 on my mac. I am lost at the instructions given in the link above, can someone give me step by step directions on how to uninstall it?
My current version is (build 1.8.0_05-b13) i got this from terminal

The suggested article on Stack Overflow is all but conclusive. Can someone answer this question?
Here is the response I received on High Sierra, when executing the first command in the recommended solution in this article:
-bash: version: No such file or directory
I was able to update the jdk from 1.8.0_141 to 1.8.0_151 by executing the first suggestion in the suggested article AND modifying my .bash_profile, which had JAVA_HOME defined. Maybe it's time to upgrade to 1.9 and forget about 1.8. Actually, if a moderator could delete these 2 postings, that would be great! I ran out of time on the first posting.
