May 16, 2014 8:45 AM in response to Zak Adelmanby dave suter, same problem here....
MacBook Pro 8.2 - 2.4GHz, i7 Late 2011
Dell U2713H Monitor connected via mini display port to mini display port
Before update (OSX 10.9.2), lovely crisp photographs, text, colours etc, after update to OSX 10.9.3 everything is all out of focus, blurry text in particular. Terrible, just impossible to read anything.
I have tried a few things like SwitchResX and other cable inputs but have had no joy. Have re-installed OSX 10.9.2 and will for go this update.

May 16, 2014 9:00 AM in response to dave suterby it-netzwerker,after reading ed.rdm´s post i have tried to change the sharpness settings on my Dell U2713H.
this fixed normal working.
i am glad that i do not have to photoshop many things ... i think this sharpness setting of the monitor could kill any smooth gradient image area.
conclusion ... office workers may adjust this problem by setting the right sharpness setting on the monitor.
photoshop users should not apply this update!

May 16, 2014 9:08 AM in response to it-netzwerkerby ed.rdm,Yeah don't update if you need to edit photos or build interfaces... looks like garbage. Seems like Apples attention to detail has dropped with the Lion release. I have never had this many issues with OS X

May 16, 2014 11:13 AM in response to Zak Adelmanby Simon Burge,Unbelievable. My DELL 27" now looks like blurry garbage and worst of all, the resolution is stuck at a lower rate and I can't change it. How am I supposed to do my graphics work? This is disgraceful Apple. Post-Steve Jobs, you have become a shadow of your former selves. This is the last straw. Thanks... now I have to spend my weekend completely reinstalling my entire system and downgrade to Snow Leopard. Never, ever, ever.... run an upgrade from Apple again. Shambles. Total shambles!

May 16, 2014 11:21 AM in response to Zak Adelmanby Eric Root,Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

May 16, 2014 11:38 AM in response to Simon Burgeby it-netzwerker,hello simon,
i always see this frustrating answers of the proceed of big companies making a operating system.
customers seem to be a testing-objects.
versions of the system are going up ... and up ... and up.
they can not check any configuration - in real speech: they are humans!
and if ever testing is done - there are humans with various hardware.
if i were in anyway responsible for developement of software-features i would think before i do it...
nevertheless - just adjust your sharpness on your display and it is done.
if you are a phtoshop-worker ... i would understand you telling apple software-engineers are failing her destination

May 16, 2014 2:20 PM in response to kratounaby Zak Adelman,Dell monitors usually (not always) have an on screen menu with sharpness options. You get to it through the buttons on the bottom of the monitor.
