Can I put MS Word and Excel on an iPad2?

Just wondering if I can put MS word & excel on an ipad? If not, what can I use?

No. those programs are meant to run on a PC. Microsoft does have app versions of their office 365, but while the apps are free, they are readers only unless you pay an expensive annual subscription. I would suggest apps like Documents to Go or there are plenty of other office compatible document creators/readers that are far more affordable. (what I like about documents to go is that it's fully compatible with office, has a separate desktop sync outside of iTunes, and works perfectly fine off line)
