FCE HD or FC Pro HD?

FCE HD or FC Pro HD?

I currently have final cut express hd 3.5 I edit wedding videos in HDV. What is the difference between FCE and FCP? Am i editing HDV naitively? if not then how is naitive different than how FCE HD edits HDV.

The underlying QT engine and the interface is similar. If you don't feel limited by FCE, no need to trade up.

Still, FCP offers up multiple formats, multi-camera editing, batch capture, keyframing of all effects as well as the bundled applications, DVDSP, Motion, LiveType and Cinema Tools. You get a lot for your money.

Does FCE HD edit HDV natively yet? I was under the impression that you had to convert to AIC first.

FCP does edit HDV natively.
