Anybody else seeing Blue Screen on 10.9.3 startup?

As the title states, after upgrading to 10.9.3, on every boot the white/grey screen will briefly flash to a blue screen (about 1 second) then back to the normal white/grey.

I'm just not sure if it's something specific to my Mid-2012 Retina MacBook Pro, or if others are experiencing this?

MacBook Pro (Retina, Mid 2012), OS X Mavericks (10.9.3), 2.7/16/512

A Safe Mode boot deletes system caches that after a system update may help.

Startup your Mac in Safe Mode

A Safe Mode boot takes longer than a normal boot so be patient.

Once you are in Safe Mode, click Restart from the Apple () drop down menu.

Hopefully no more bluee screen on startup.

If it continues, remove all items from System Preferences > Users & Groups > Login Items

Same for /Library/StartupItems then reboot to test.

Having similar issues on iMac Late 2012 version 13.1 only first cold boot was blue, 2nd cold boot yellow and 3rd cold boot again yellow. Have done a Safe Boot and still yellow.

Have removed all login items as per above. Can not find " /Library/StartupItems" . Can you give more details how and where to find.

Thnak you in advance

Install the combo like kinman1 said. Mine was fixed afterwards too.

After that you can also try a PRAM reset.

Resetting NVRAM / PRAM

  1. Shut down your Mac.
  2. Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
  3. Turn on the computer.
  4. Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys before the gray screen appears.
  5. Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
  6. Release the keys.
