Q: Dual Monitor - App Dialog Location (Centered)

I am a new mac user who uses dual monitors. It is going well so far, but an annoying thing is that app dialog popup windows are appearing centered on the desktop which straddles between the two displays (see attached pic). Is there a way to set it so that the app dialog boxes appear slightly off centered to avoid the overlap? Even after dragging a dialog across and re-opening it, it returns to the previous location.
