Internal speakers work on other apps? We have iTV, iPad, iTouch and Bluetooth Bose speakers all connected.
Latest software and all updates on all devices, OS X 10.9.3 (13D65)
Have spent time searching and trying to rectify this to no avail.
Can someone solve this? It must be affecting others?
The same think has happened on my wife's iMac.
I think this could be a systemic issue.

If an AirPlay device is selected for sound output from iTunes, deselect it.

I checked and there are no devices selected for "AirPlay".
Still no sound?
First, make sure the volume slider is all the way to the right. Also check that you're running iTunes 11.2.
In the Playback settings, check the box marked Sound Check.
If you've installed any iTunes plugins, remove them and relaunch the application.
Selected "up arrow" in iTunes and then, "multiple" then moved volume slider to right next to "computer". Presto that worked. Should have figured this out on my own before.
