Does anyone else have a AMD Radeon 7979 HD 3GB? I just bought it in October of last year. Way past warranty but today after updating iTunes to the latest version the screen flickered and then went black and the cpu shut down. Everytime I reboot, regardless of whatever startup key I use, zapping PRAM, CPU switch reset, the boot screen shows a distorted apple logo and an indicator below that looks just like a firmware update indicator. not sure what is happening. after the firmware looking indicator is finished then both of my monitors stay white. And they sit and sit. I get no login screen. Nothing. any ideas?

Hopefully one of you can read the verbose messages and/or have seen this same issue via the attached images.

That progress bar appears when your disk is too damaged to mount. The bar tracks the progress of the repair. If the damage cannot be repaired, your Mac will often shut down since it cannot start up.

The messages show that something is not responding to some Hardware reset, during the time the Hard Drive journal is being replayed. It does not say what it is.

Have you tried Safe Mode? (hold shift at startup)
