Problems with screen macbook pro retina

Hi

I've got a bif big problem. When I started my computer theis morning, the welcoming apple logo was pink. It resumed to its normal self moments later. This is a problem with the graphic card i'm afraid.

I've never had any problem like this.

All I know is that yesterday evening I installed OSX 10.9.3. I did not start the computer again since then. This might also be the issue.

I noticed the update is about improving 4K display support on Mac Pro (Late 2013) and Macbook Pro with 15-inch Retina (Late 2013)

My macbook is an early 2013 model.

Anyone else noticed something wrong with the 10.9.3 update?

Help! I don't want to buy a new logic board! My computer is just over one year old and has just ran out of warrenty.

I'm glad i'm not the only one to have this issue since 10.9.3!

You HAD the problem? Did you find a way round it?

I didn't do any clone of my mac before the update, i didn't know this udate would do such a mess!

I have on the other hand a Time machine backup, I think I will try Carbon Copy Cloner.

This software builds a "bootable" disk with your old backup, so you can just boot from it without necessarily restore from it. http://macintoshhowto.com/repair/back-up-computer.html

I've only got one question: What about the drivers (which seems to cause the problem)? Are they on the hard drive?

My graphic card is going berserk. The temperature is about 63°C! Normally it's down to about 40.

This might only affect "old" Macbook Pro Retinas.

I don't know which Driver is faulty, I think we're talking driver related issues. (have a look here http://www.tonymacx86.com/418-os-x-10-9-3-update.html). They have updated every single Graphic Card Driver with 10.9.3! The Problem might come from the Intel Card or the Nvidia one.

I know the current Macbook Pro the "late 2013" has a completely different logic board, SSD, RAM...

The late 2012 and early 2013 are pretty similar on the other hand...

Same here after updating to 10.9.3: Washy pink and green tint on my screen after rebooting or waking up from sleep mode. It's a 2013 MBP 13" Retina (Intel Iris graphic board). It recovers over time after a few minutes but I noticed the ghost image issue too:

You're a genius!

I had the screen problem for a while ! Now i've got 2 problems 😝

Thankfully, my Mac still has warrenty (just...) I'll have my screen replaced.

It seems this "pink and green" problem affects 13-inch models as well. I have another rMBP, a late 2013 model.

I WON'T UPDATE TO 10.9.3 that's for sure!

Now that you mention it, i noticed when I bought the second computer that the screen was different. The 15-inch (LG display) is less white, a tad more pink whereas the 13-inch (Samsung display) is a lot brighter.
