I got an Iphone 3gs and I want to move the data I got on the SIM card. I managed to do it with my contacts but not with my old SMS messages.
I already read that you don't have a built in function to copy the messages like there is with the contacts, but is their perhaps a way to do it with some kind of PC software which can read the data (specifically SMS messages) on the SIM card on copy it the phone itself?

The iPhone does not store text messages or any data on the SIM card.
The previous phone I had until today was Samsung GT-S5603. I could store my contacts and SMS on my SIM card. The Iphone could import the contacts but I'm searhing for a way to do it with SMS.
I unerstand that it's not possible diretly since sms messages are stored in a different format on the sim (and it's a real shame that a company like Apple couldn't make a conversion to the Iphone's format), and I want some tool that can take the messages out of the sim and convert it and move it to the iphone.
You can use a utility such as this one, but the trick will be getting the existing text messages from the SIM card.

i asked aple and vodafone before sent my 5 away they both said no i had to lose all some id like to have kepted . vodafone says it priviacy law of apple how true i do not no but itried keep mine only way vodafone told me possible is copy paste to email send it to yourself, not much help but i got told this and then no more help of no one v
Yes I still have it. Does this utility suppose to work with the previous phone? Or is the Iphone with the sim enough?

I'm not entirely sure but I think the Samsung GT-S5603 actually got a Symbian operating system and not Android..
