I accidently disconnected my Ipod before ejecting it. The Ipod screen is frozen how do I eject it now?

I accidently disconnected my Ipod nano before ejecting it. The screen on the nano is frozen and shows it "connected". I reconnected the nano to my macbook and brought up Ipod but cannot get to the symbol or fing the "Eject" Help!

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

To find the “eject” for your iPod in iTunes look at the following article -


iTunes 11 for Mac: Connect or disconnect your iPod, iPhone, or iPad

If it does not appear there you may need to reset the iPod nano. Use the information found here to do this -
