how to remove password from word file

I believe the passwording system is incompatible between Word and Pages.

Reopen and save without the password from Word or LibreOffice [free].

I set a password on a LibreOffice document and exported as .docx. Pages v5.2 opened it without any password challenge. Did not violate the least surprise law.

So even better.

Pages v5.2, as a metaphor for a submarine hatch, would certainly cause anxiety. 😉

I do however like that Apple removed the hatch and replaced it with that nice flyscreen!!
