Q: My iPod won't let me use iCloud

I can't download movies from my iPad to my iPod from iCloud it says I have to buy them again And I haven't been on my iPad for a while and half of my music has also gone and it won't let me get it back unless I buy it again so I can only get back my music and movie if I buy them again I bought the movies on SD not HD but don't think that makes a difference plz help coz going on holiday tomorrow and need it for holiday thanks
