I just installed a wireless printer and when I went to install app to print it said my old IPAD (version 5.1.1)couldn't download app as I needed iOS 6.0 or later. Does that mean I won't be able to print stuff off my old IPAD?

It is a Brother and it mentions a Brother Print/Scan app which I tried to install and wouldn't let me install because of old IPAD.

I guessI could try and install the AirPrint app?

You're welcome. If it is an AirPrint printer there is no app that needs to be installed. You first run the set-up disc that came with the printer. To print you tap the share icon (box with arrow) then tap print.

Check your Brother printer against this list: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4356 and if it isnot on there, contact Brother to see if there is an update to enable AirPrint on the printer.

By the way, there is no AirPrint app for the iPad, it is already part of iOS 5.1.1 so there isn't more to install for AirPrint.
