no camera connection on Mac OS X 10.8.6
after moving my mom to another apartment we lost Camera connection. 3/15/14

Be sure to check more than one camera app (both connected apps like iChat or Skype and non-internet-connected like Photo Booth) in more than one user account.
P.S. Confusion: Mac OS X 10.8.6 or Mac OS X (10.6.8)?
