my itunes card wont redeem with new email, all i did was JUST changed my email....please help

i bought a new itunes card.
then i went to buy a song,and it told me i had to answer my security questions.. but i didnt remember them... so i changed my email.. and i tried to buy the song again.... and NOW it wont let me cause it keeps saying i enetered it wrong... but its not... please help

iPod touch, iOS 6.1.6

However, I would regain use of the first account since purchases are locked to the account and yo have to log into the account to to do thinks like update apps.
