Is facetime showing as activated in your settings?
Is it only from 1 person or many people this happens?
Have you tried turning facetime off and on again?
Try a soft reset by pressing the power/home button for 10 secs until the apple logo appears.

My FaceTime was always fine but I haven't used it a while until Friday and it wouldn't connect, it is activated and I also have tried turning it off and back on
You may need to soft reset by pressing the power/home button for 10 secs until the apple logo appears. Or failing that a Restore through itunes.Ensure that camera and FaceTime are not disabled in Settings > General > Restrictions.
Are you using wifi or 3G?
I am having the same issues with FaceTime. I tried the soft reset, my restrictions are all open and I turned off, activated and signed in again to facetime. What is a restore through itunes?? What else can I do?
A restore through itunes is wiping your phone and putting a fresh copy of IOS on your phone which fixes a lot of problems.
Back up your phone first though.
I'm using an iPad...is restore the same as iphone? Not sure I really want to wipe everything...even with a backup.
Check the version on your iPad: Settings > General > About > Version.
yes a restore is the same but you should be posting in the ipad section not iphone.
Version 6.1.3 ?(10B329)
You have to update to IOS 7.1.1 for both of you.
Shows what I know...didn't realize I was in the iphone section. I'm too old for this stuff. : )
No worries. But as ckuan says you will defo need to update your IOS
How old are you? We have several volunteers here into their 80s, have you set a new record?
Follow what ckuan posted and it will work again.
