Other people's searches within my maps

Hello Everyone

While trying to get directions with maps (for the first time), I've noticed "other" peoples searches within than section (recent searches I think).

My phone is a work phone and the two people are customers (well technical one isn't actually a customer just some guy I've started dealing with recently) but I've only just added him into my contacts list so I "assume" that the map app is pulling him from the contacts section of the address book.

My questions are:

How and why is this happening? and more importantly

How do I stop it from happening?

I've thought long and hard about why this would be considered a good idea and I can't think of a single one.

So I can see that a complete stranger has searched for a very specific address and thanks to google streetview (sorry apple) I can see exactly what/where he looking for?

Surely that can't be a good idea?

If I phoned this guy and told him I knew that he was attending xxxxxxxx, would he not be rightly horrified? I know I would be.

So I guess that my searches (only two so far) are likely to appear on their (or somebody within my contacts) recent searches?

This may be is very straightforward to answer or perhaps I'm just particularly security minded, but I'm absolutely astounded by this.

Any help or guidance on this would be extremely appreciated.

No, these are two totally unrelated people to me (other than they are in my contacts list, as customers)

I don't even know if they have iphones or not.

Both of these people are hundreds of miles from me and both searches (if I try and get directions to them from my current location) are in "their" area so it's definitely "correct" and not a strange mix up.

I can see two specific address that they have searched for because below the address it states: from xxxx xxxxxxx so it's clearly dragging their searches from their phones and showing it in my maps app.

Safe to say, I'm disturbed by this (and it's implications)
