Virus found in iphone backup

Recently backed up iphone for first time to a new computer running latest windows 7 using latest itunes and ios on iphone 4s. I think I understand that the two worm viruses found can not do any harm to the iphone however every time I back it up microsoft security essentials removes the viruses from the backup location then renders the backup as corrupt when trying to restore so essentially I have no backup.

So How do I remove the virus from my pc without rendering the backup as corrupt or how do I remove the virus from my iphone so it is no longer backed up on my computer?

Please dont say restore iphone to factory, that is not acceptable because that means I need to start from scratch. If that is the answer I am moving to android platform asap, selling my apple stock and buying samsung.

Thanks!

You need to ask microsoft that question as its their OS that has the virus.

As far as i am aware There is no known virus that can affect an IOS device.

Also this statment by you "Please dont say restore iphone to factory, that is not acceptable because that means I need to start from scratch. If that is the answer I am moving to android platform asap, selling my apple stock and buying samsung."

Is ridiculous. Sorry but its childish and lame. If it bothers you that much then don't use iphone.

Once you remove the virus for your CPU all should be fine. Maybe your backup was just corrupt without a virus?

Restore the iphone to factory asap. Good luck with your stock portfolio. Apple's loss, Samsung's gain.

The problem here is that Microsoft Security Essentials is identifying something as a virus that is undoubtedly not actually a virus. Microsoft Security Essentials is corrupting your iPhone backups. How is this Apple's fault, exactly? How, by any stretch of the imagination, will this affect Apple's stock value? Drop the nonsense and start thinking about how to solve the problem.
