Macbook Pro LAGGING bad!

Macbook Pro 15" is lagging VERY bad. I had Snow Leopard. I wiped that, installed Mt. Lion, still lagging for no reason. Then, I installed new hard drive and fresh install of Mt. Lion, same thing, still lagging. Did AHT and it passed. What is going on? If I am typing, it can't keep up at all, it just lags, and is 5 or 6 words behind. Sometimes it just freezes with the beachball for no reason? This is very strange? This laptop has always been very fast, now, even without any software installed other than the OS, it's lagging bad. Makes no sense, brand new hard drive, new install of Mt. Lion, still lagging for no reason.

I even downloaded the mem 86 test and ran it, and it passed. What else can be tested?
