How do i get the on screen home button on my iphone3 (model no. A1241). My home button isnt very responsive.
The iOS upgrade in iTunes seems to go only to iOS4.1 (I currently have iOS4.0.1) and from what I've read here, getting the onscreen home button (under accessibility) requires iOS5. Please help!

As you know, Assistive Touch and Switch Control are features in the Accessibility functions found in iOS 5 and later which can simulate the home button. The iPhone 3 cannot go beyond iOS 4.2.1.
There is no other way to simulate the home button on your phone. Your only choices are to get the phone repaired, replaced, or upgrade to a newer model
