May 21, 2014 12:13 AM in response to EVH98by idq02,I am having the same problem with a brand new mac mini. I have 2 Dell 2001FP monitors. Either will work with the HDMI to DVI adaptor. I bought apple's mini displayport to DVI adaptor to connect the 2nd one. The mac mini "sees" the second monitor if I click the "gather windows" button, but no signal ever gets sent to the other monitor. It's driving me nuts.
This guy (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4kHrLRba8yw) seems to have had the same issue and thinks it's an issue with Apple's cable being passive, not active. Can anyone else tell us that yes, it's just an issue of a cable? Any brand particularly reliable for solving this mess?
Between this and the myriad other issues I've had with this pretty silver brick in the few hours I've been trying to work with it, I am already considering returning it.

May 21, 2014 2:55 AM in response to idq02by lllaass,Try an active adopter like this one:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812200944
Apple sells an an active dual-link adopter which is requied for resolutions higher than 1920X1200 but it caose $100.
You could also use the VGA input via a mini display port to VGA adopter
