Q: Xserve Raid Won't Boot (Power lights green, button flashing white)

Xserve Raid won't boot. Both power supply modules are flashing green when plugged back in. White led by back power button is flashing. Press to power on and sends signal to top battery because I see the led flash orange which is indicating a problem with that battery module, but the unit will not start up. Re-seated everything, took apart, replaced the two panel to rear power ribbon cables which would indicate it is not a power button problem. Replaced one of the controller modules with by installing a new card. Still nothing? Is it the power suppy, a fried brain...?

If it is junk can I take out all the drives and drive modules and simply insert into another xserve and will my data be there, or does the logic reside inside the raid on a board?

The logic is on the drives.  You should be able to put them into another chassis and be fine.  Best to try and have the same firmware version on both cases if possible.
