serial number for Aperture lost after an update

Hi!

I bought "Aperture" when I ordered my mac book pro 15 inch in 2011.

After an update though it lost serial number information, and I can't use it any more.

I can't find my receipt. Would it be possible to recover the seriual number if I provide

my Mac Book Pro's serial number, since I bought the aperture pre-installed

when I bought my laptop?

Thanks!

MacBook Pro with Retina display, iOS 6.1.2

This document describes, how replacement serial numbers can be obtained, but you would need your receipt:

Pro Application Replacement Serial Numbers

It might be easier to restore your system to the state before the update from a full backup (Time Machine Backup, bootable clone) and to write down the serial number from the "Aperture > About Aperture" panel. Then try to update again.
