Can't get Books on the library of my iTunes

Can't get Books on the library of my iTunes

Hello everyone!

I need to get some large PDF files from my MAC to my IPAD, can't send it per e-mail cause they are so large.

I read this could be done through iTunes. But I do not have the section Books on my library and do not even have the possibility to do so through "Preferences". It simply isn't there :/

Mac Pro, PDF files, Macbook Pro, Ipad

It helps to provide more complete information about yoru computer system. This might be the answer if you are running Mavericks:
