Q: 10.9.3 External Monitor Issue
Since the 10.9.3 upgrade my external monitor goes AWOL after sleep. When the machine wakes, the applications that were running on the internal monitor show up, but the external monitor and the apps there are dark. Sometimes a window from the external monitor will briefly appear on the internal monitor, then the internal will momentarily blink out and the external will light up with the apps back where they were before sleep. Other times I have to toggle the Menu button on the external monitor to get it to wake up.
Something similar used to happen with Mountain Lion and the first verion of Mavericks, then it went away after 10.9.1 and now it is back and worse than before.
I'm using an HP W2207h with a mini dvi to hdmi.
iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.2), 2.8Ghz Intel Core i7, 12GB Sdram

Jeremy,
I know it has been a while but thought I would share this. My external monitor issues have been resolved since the update to Yosemite! I no longer need to tap the Menu button on the HP monitor, it just wakes a second or two after the internal monitor. I guess Apple was paying attention.
