Question for iPhone 5s. I usually end up snoozing my alarm a few times in the morning, and then I get up before the next countdown is complete (within 9 minutes). At that point, I'd like to turn off the alarm completely, but it won't allow me to do that. It seems that I can only do that during the time when the alarm sounds. Does anyone know of a solution?
iPhone 5s, iOS 7.1.1
I use the quick access control center, swipe up from the bottom of iphone - alarm clock - turn off the alarm.
Tap the Clock app then slide the Alarm to off. Haven't tried it on a repeating alarm but suspect off and then back on may work.

On my phone, there is no alarm clock button in CC, only a button that takes me to the timer section of the Clock app. Are you seeing something different?
Thanks for your replies so far everyone. I probably should have clarified my question though - I was referring to a repeating alarm (every morning), so I just would have expected an alternative to manually turning the alarm off and then turning it back on again.
