updating iphone drivers access denied

My iphone wont connect to itunes it doesnt even show up, my computer makes the noise when I connect it but the iphone is unresponsive, it wont even charge it. I tried all the usb cables in my house, then went so far as to buy two new ones incase that was the problem...it was not.

I apparently dont have the right drivers installed for my iphone.

I read through this http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538 and the iphone usb driver isn't even under 'Universal Serial Bus Controllers' its under 'Other Devices' and it has a yellow exclamation point, when I right click the click on properties it says;

The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

Access is denied.

To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver.

So naturally I click update driver but it says access denied again, so I went through the support article linked above found the "usbaapl64" file and tried updating that way, I still get access is denied and of course my luck the article covers error code 52 but not 28...Theres nothing there to help me figure out why it says access denied or where to go from this point. All help would be greatly appreciated.

iPhone 4S, iOS 6.1.5

The issue is most likely that the permissions on your computer are not allowing the driver to install.

A few things your could try would be:

completely removing and reinstalling itunes http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1923

creating a new administator user and attempting to install driver there

remove any security or registry changing software that may be interfering

refreshing or reinstalling windows (instructions are for windows 8 for 7 or below you would have to reinstall instead of refreshing) http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/restore-refresh-reset-pc

Hy there,

In order for you to solve this problem you have to follow these stept if your running windows:

1'st step is to go into the device manager

2 step is to go to portable devices (it is rught under network adapters)

3 step is to right clic apple iphone and click update drivers

4 step is to brows your drivers from C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers

After that your itunes will pump up alown and youl see your iphone right there.

Good luck and sry for my bad righting.
