Where is the Expansion Slot utility?

If you look at the Mac Pro manual it says that the "Expansion Slot utility" is located in the Utility folder.

Does anyone have this application? Or is the manual wrong?

On page 47 it says, "To adjust the bandwidth of the PCI Express slots in your Mac Pro, use the Expansion Slot utility, located in the Utilities folder within the applications folder."

Thank you!

What sata card do u use?

Dear Anne,
The Mac Pro no longer uses open firmware that many Apple PPC SATA host adapters used to configure their cards. As of today, the Sonnet E4P and the RocketRAID 2322 do not work on the Mac Pro as their Mac drivers need to be updated for it. They are working on updates.

However, the WiebeTech Tera Card TCES0-2e
http://www.amug.org/amug-web/html/amug/reviews/articles/wiebetech/tces0/ works with the Mac Pro if you use the Silicon Image 1.1.6 Mac driver.

In addition, the FirmTek SeriTek/2SE2-E two port host adapter also works if you use the FirmTek 2SM2-E driver which is on the CD that comes with the FirmTek SeriTek/2SE2-E.

Until most of the SATA host adapter manufacturers learn how to convert their drivers to EFI, SATA host adapters for the Mac Pro may be limited.
