So I am having a few issues with running FCPX, FCP 7 and Apple Color all on the same computer.
I installed FCP 7 and Color with the same serial number and they worked fine. After this I installed FCPX and moved this into a separate folder.
Having done this, both FCPX and FCP7 work perfectly ok, but Apple Color doesn't seem to like the serial number now (it had previously worked before installing FCPX).
Does anyone have any suggestions?

IIRC, there is a sequence for the installation and it may want partitions as well.
My suggestion is that you search the archives here for the dozens of previous queries.

Wow, that's lazy of you. There is a search box at the top of this page. Just type in something like fcp and fcpx on the same machine or somesuch. It's all there.
And there's a user tip about installation procedures including having fcp7 and fcpX.

Wasn't deliberately being lazy but couldnt find a thread that explained why the serial for FInal Cut 7 worked but not for Apple Color, Compressor and Cinema Tools.
I think I plan to stick to use FCPX and Resolve for colouring since FInal Cut Studio has been discontinued for years
