I just bought a refurbished macbook pro version 10.6.8, and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions concerning which version of microsoft office should I download? Thanks in advance!

There is only one: Office 2011 for OS X.

A free alternative to Office is Libre Office. It is about 95% compatible.
