Q: Slides won't import

After dragging and dropping stills from the desktop or iPhoto fcpx renders the still. However all I get when I try to play it is a solid green screen. How can I fix this?

Final Cut Pro X, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5)

    What version are you using?

What are the specs of the stills? JPEG? PNG? TIFF? PSD? 8-bit RGB? CMYK?

By the way, I can see the slides in the Event Library. But after dragging them into the Project Library they do not play.

What version are you using? There are no event libraries or project libraries in recent versions. Can you post one of the problem images somewhere on the web where it can be downloaded in the form you're using it?

This screen shot shows two of the images in the events window and the project window. The green screen in the viewer is all I get when I try to play it from the project window.  I have brought in still images succesfully before. This is the first the I have had this problem.

Once again, which version is this? Your graphics card is not listed as a supported card

    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4664

and the computer doesn't seem to have the minimum requirement for VRAM.

When did you download this from the App Store? The recent versions should not download with that computer specification.

I have discovered that by reducing the opacity of the compositing blend mode [normal] to about 88% the picture returns.I don't remember having to make this adjustment before. Is that normal?

This is version 10.0.9. It was sometime in December of 2013.
