    Hi Sekhar_Nutakki,

Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.

I recommend these steps if your iPhone is shutting down or restarting unexpectedly:

    iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting

    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2802

Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off

    1. Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.

    2. Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIs and corrosion.

    3. Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.

    4. After at least 30 minutes, if:
      • The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen TS2802-ios7-charging-001-en.png. Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
      • The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
      • Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.

    5. If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
      • If the display turns on, go to step 4.
      • If the display remains black, go to next step.

    6. Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.

    7. If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.

    Best Regards,

    Jeremy

    Hi,

I am also experiencing the same issue. I am using iphone 4 with the latest ios 7.1.1 version. It's been more than a month or two now since I upgraded last and suddenly a day before I started facing this issue.

-Firstly the phone started rebooting itself and evrytime it will switch on the battery level dropped from say 90 to 65 or 70 and so on .

-This was for the first day. After that I removed the sim card when the phone was on and it stayed on for a while. I tried to insert the sim card again after turning the phone off and the phone started rebooting again.

-I thought to backup and restore it  but when I connected the phone to itunes and started backing it up, the phone will reboot automatically in between the process and I was not able to back it up. I tried this for a couple of times and then phone stopped to boot again.

-Whenever I am connecting the phone to the PC via usb cable, it just shows the apple logo on the screen and nothing happnens.

Please suggest a suitable and effective fix for this as I don't want to shell my money  due to company's software issue and not mine in the service centre especiall when my phone is not under warranty.

Also, the link which you gave is of no use for this issue. So, please suggest something better and smart which a user doesn't a;ready knows.

I have gone through some articles but was not able to find a fix from Apple's side for this issue. I have also heard that you will not be releasing ios 8 for iphone 4. So, as far as the ios upgrade is concerned, it seems that I have reached the dead end using an ios which will not even start up my phone and allow me to use it.

Please look in to this as I expect a quality service from you guys so that I feel my money worth spent on this apple product.
