OK Apple, lets get on the ball. Your newest version 7.1 does screwy stuff to the phone. After hanging up, it continues to screech and crackle like it hasn't disconnected. It has an echo of your voice too when it's supposed to be disconnected. The only solution is to power all the way down and start back up. Frustrating!!!! Lets fix this! Any suggestions from anyone?
You are not addressing Apple by posting here; just users like yourself who are volunteering to help. That being said, have you tried resetting your phone (different than turning on and off)?
Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).
Reset your device: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss)
It does it after every call and I've done that so we should do that after every call?
No, it should not. The way to rule out a hardware defect is to next restore your device. Back it up first using iTunes, then restore from the backup. If the problem continues, restore as a NEW device (not from the backup) and test. If the problem is still there, you have a hardware problem and should make an appointment at your nearest Genius Bar. If the problem is solved by restoring as new, the problem is in your backup file or maybe is with one of your apps.
Or maybe it's a glitch in 7.1 which means an update is needed, not a problem on this end. It's been reported all over that the 7.1 update started this, not the phone.
