With Mail Preferences set to NOT reveal multiple address of a group email - it displays ALL of the addresses! How do I overcome this please?

I am used to sending email to groups. I leave the "When sending to a group, show all member addresses" box unchecked. This worked fine in OS 10.6 in that the email addresses were not revealed. Now, in OS 10.9, with the same "When sending to a group, show all member addresses" cox unchecked in Preferences, all of the email addresses in the group are revealed.

Please, how do I prevent this?

MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.3)

As a work around, use BCC.

This has just happened to me for the first time and I am furious. I had the reveal addresses box unchecked in Mail/Preferences/Composing but Mail went ahead and revealed all the addresses anyway. In previous years it has been fine. I am now on Yosemite 10.10.1 and this is the first time it has happened but I do not use Group emails very often.

that is NOT the issue ! The issue is to indicate the Group Name. Is there finally a fix ??

Hi,

"The issue is to indicate the Group Name." This does not make sense to me. Please explain what that means. As far as I know, there is no satisfactory answer. If there is, I'd sure like to know it, please.
