create dock icon for clipboard
Is it possible to create a permanent icon for the clipboard on the dock at the lower part of your desktop?

Sorry no. I am not aware of any third party app that can accomplish that.

You can create a keyboard shortcut. Go to system preferences/keyboard, keyboard shortcuts tab.
In the left column select Application Shortcuts, then click the + symbol, in the dropdown menu Application select Finder .app
Menu title Type in Show Clipboard then (in this case for an example I'll choose my shortcut to be command 6)
Where it says Keyboard Shortcut: click in the box to put your cursor in the box and press te keys command6.
The press ADD
When you are in Finder pressing these keys will bring up the clipboard.
