Mophie case, no sound?

I just got a mophie case for my 4s. I charged it last night and now the speakers will not play sound when the mophie battery is in the off position. As soon as I turn on the power on the juice pack I get sound! Any ideas what might be causing this? I've tried blowing out the head phone jack and the charging port...
