1. Don't know of many Analog Tv's that have a computer VGA input.

2. Since its an iPad Mini it has a Lightning connector.

Which meants only the Lightning to VGA or Lightning to HDMI adapters are available from Apple.

Other than that, we would need to know what kinds of inputs your TV has.

There maybe a 3rd party lightning to Component or Composite, but its unlikely.

Hi thanks for the reply, I should have given more info on this. I went to the local Apple store and asked the same question. I told them I would be living in the Philippines and I want to watch movies with my iPad. I have an analog TV with the audio and video in and out (RCA Jacks) which I have an Xbox connected to it.

I was told at the store to buy the composite AV cable and the lighting adapter , that it would work fine with my

iPad and my iPhone 5.

I went back 3 weeks latter to the same store and was told this would not work. I dont want to buy this equipment for $60.00 to $70.00 and find out when im in the philippines it dont work.

The Lightning to 30 pin adapter does not support Video output. It will not work.

For RCA (composite) (Yellow, Red and White plugs) You'll need a converter Box that can go from HDMI to RCA.

Something like this:

http://www.amazon.com/Etekcity%C2%AE-Composite-Video-Audio-Converter/dp/B008FO7P QA

You would then need the Lightning Digital Av Adapter

http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD826ZM/A/lightning-digital-av-adapter

And a standard HDMI cable. So your setup would look like this:

iPad Mini<------------>Lightning DigitalAV<------->HDMI cable<---------->Converter Box<---------->RCA Cables---------->TV

Yup pretty much. You'll need the Lightning Digital Av Adapter, then an HDMi to RCA composite converter box.

Like this:

http://www.amazon.com/ViewHD-Universal-Composite-Converter-Standard/dp/B0080KN18 K/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1364832269&sr=1-3&keywords=HDMI+to+RCA

NOTE: The Lightning to 30 Pin adapter does not support video, so you will not be able to use that to continue to use the connector you use with the iPod.

I am looking for a way to connect my ipad air to our van's composite aux input. Basically, I want to stream video on my ipad while we're on the road and have it play on the tv screen in the van for the kids. I have a lightning digital AV adapter from Apple as well as a HDMI to RCA converter box (see link)

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009A4Q1WI?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_deta ilpage_o00_s00

The path goes:

ipad air --- lightning digital AV adapter --- HDMI cable --- HDMI to RCA converter box --- RCA cable (yellow/white/red connectors) --- van's composite auxillary input

When I connect everything and try to open a video on Netflix, it says "Cannot play video. Connected display is not supported". What am I doing wrong? Does this have something to do with Netflix bing HDCP protected material? Even when I connect all the converters/cables, the ipad display will not show. This also goes for if I'm connecting the ipad air to an analog TV.
