Frustrated with Mac Web Browsers

I am so frustrated with Mac browsers. I'm starting a Cisco CCNA class. I start at this page to get to my Cisco Academy log on.

http://cisco.netacad.net

In the upper right hand corner is the logon prompt. When I enter the user id and password the screen refreshes to a blank window and at the bottom in the Safari status bar it shows "Done". No content is displayed. I tried it in Firefox, same thing happens. I have the debug option turned on in Safari and trying turning on the agent "Windows MSIE 6.0". Still nothing. I even rebooted and tried it. I can navigate all over the Cisco website but as soon as I try to log into the academy then nothing happens.

I went to my old PC and with IE and Firefox I was able to get in OK. What is going on in OSX that is not allowing the page content to display? Or is it Cisco ?

If I didn't have a PC I'd be in bind. You just can't switch 100%.

Rant over.

Thanks

Kelvin

"Kelvin,

Thank you for contacting the Cisco Networking Academy Support regarding the minimum requirements.

To use all the features of the Academy Connection site, Curricula, and Assessment Server on your desktop, laptop PC, or Macintosh, your system must meet the minimum site requirements. Please review the minimum site requirements listed below and update your system accordingly:

* Java, JavaScript, and Style Sheets must be enabled in your browser's preference settings
* The Flash 7.0 plug-in must be installed. If you don't already have the latest version of the plug-in installed, you can download it at:

We are not formally supporting any browsers on any version of Linux or Unix; however, Mozilla should work as it uses the same engine as Netscape 7.x.

Please let us know if you have any further questions, comments, or concerns.

Thank you,"

There was a link in the email to reply to their email. When I click on it I was presented the login prompt for the Cisco Network Academy. I entered my login information and lo and behold my academy page appeared showing my curriculm links etc. I click around and everything seemed to work fine. I tried it in Safari and Firefox. Cisco has code in their login from the main academy page that has unnecessary restrictions. The link they gave me by passes that code I guess. I replied to their email and offered to use my Mac browsers to run through the curriculm and online tests. Hopefully they will respond positively and not ignore my requests.
