Q: How to retrieve photos that have disappeared from iphoto

My photos of an overseas trip  loaded onto iPhoto have all disappeared plus many other photos

Could somebody please tell me how to get them back into iPhoto and why they did not stay there .

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

If they were downloaded and you did not delete them then they are probably still there. First thign I woudl recommend is Rebuilding the iPhoto library
