Import audios from VCD, DVD, RealMedia, casette tape, vinyl record, etc.?

Hello,

Is there a way to record/rip these other sources beside CDs to an iPod Nano? This is for someone who is using one and a Windows XP Media Center SP1 (all updates). He is not a computer expert so he won't know how to convert, pick bitrates, etc. Are there any software products that can rip/record, convert, etc. with ease like Apple products?

For DVD, VCD & RealMedia check out "FREE Hi-Q Recorder" at http://www.roemersoftware.com/free-sound-recorder.html

There are ways of recording ANALOGUE signals to DIGITAL (Cassette, Vinyl etc.)

Remember that it's likely that you'll lose quality converting to Digital.

Try Googling something like "Convert analogue to digital" - http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=Convertanalogue+to+digital&btnG=GoogleSearch

Thanks George. So, there is no one single program to do all this work? Can iPod Nano play RM, WAV, etc. directly? This program doesn't seem to say it supports iPod Nano. How does one put files on an iPod Nano? I don't own or use an iPod (and iTunes) so this is all new to me.

It seems like this program is too complex. Again, he doesn't even know what e-mail forwards are.
