Safari cannot open page.

I cannot open Safari from an email link or from Safari direct. Message 'Safari cannot open page'. I can however open Facebook and Apple.

If you are having difficulties loading some web pages in Safari, you may want to follow the steps described in this article -

The article says it is for Mountain Lion users (Mac OS X 10.8) but the process is the same for Snow Leopard.

Hi Brett,

Thanks for that. I had tried this, but when I came to Proxies I'm not sure what the italics stand for: At the moment the box Auto proxy discovery is ticked, Under By pass I have * local 169454/14. Below that a box is ticked Use FTP Mode (PASV). I think this fault resulted from a storm. My computer was turned off, but plugged in to the mains. I realised this when the storm was on and took the plug out but maybe it was too late.

Safari cannot open page.
