using a microsoft mouse with the maccbook pro?

hi,
I have been using a microsoft mouse with my macbook pro and I noticed that it is a little sticky and not as responsive as with my desktop's mouse.
Has anyone had this problem?
I wonder if it is because it is a microsoft mouse and not a mac mouse?
Any clue?

thanks,
JM

The is no such thing as a "Microsoft mouse," unless you mean that it is actually made by microsoft.

Microsoft makes a handy little program for this.
Now, I hate to say this, but please, please, use google before the forum. I typed the obvious:
"microsoft mouse on mac" into google, and the first link is perfect. Google can work incredible wonders.

Go there.

You shouldn't have any problems with using a Microsoft mouse. Be sure you download the latest software from the Microsoft hardware section of their website (for the Mac of course) and then run the installer. The Microsoft mouse software will give you lots of options for changing mouse behavior and that may solve your problem.

Microsoft mice function just fine on my Macs, and my wife used to use a Microsoft mouse on hers (until she discovered the wireless Mighty Mouse).

I think the Intellimouse 5.5 is the latest version of the software for the Microsoft mouse, try that one and see what happens.

Yes, I should have made it clear that I meant a mouse made by microsoft.
I appreciate your advice but I will continue to use this forum since this is what it is made for unless I read somewhere that this forum is reserved for an elite group.
Maybe my "non-intelligent" questions are bothering you. Maybe they are below your intelligence level but if you hate (as you say) saying that kind of thing, then I suggest a very simple solution: don't answer!

There is a very handy website where you don't have to deal with my kind of questions. It's www.yahoo.com.
