mail won't send to multiple addresses

For some reason, Mail prevents sending to multiple addresses (if they're in a group) if you've indicated in "preferences" (under "composing") that you do not want addressees' names to be shown in the "to" field. The only way to send to a group is to allow the names to be shown.

I, and others, have mentioned this ever since Mail arrived. Apple has not yet fixed the bug.

This royally bites! I had this same problem before, and was told that by upgrading to Mail 2, (Tiger), it would fix this!

I sure as heck don't want all the names listed, that is very unprofessional.
Will it work if the addresses are "shown", but are in the BCC window?

Well, I did change my preferences to allow the names/addresses to be shown, put my group in the BC window, and then was able to send out the email.

But it's really puzzling, and frustrating, that Mail won't work the way it's supposed to......
