I recently updates to garageband v10
and since I'm unable to hear anything from any old or new file
plus, when I open a blank new files I cannot add tracks
and thus I cannot record anything
sometimes i get the error message
Core Audio is not available.
If I open my garageband version 6 all my files are playable
Your download may have been incomplete, when you installed GarageBand.
Delete the new GarageBand version from the Applications folder (don't empty the Trash, just in case) and download and install it again from the AppStore.
If that does not solve the problem, check any plug-ins you are using for compatibility.
With GarageBand 10.0 you can only use 64-bit plug-ins.
