when i am saving a Word document and I select "save as" the drop down menu does not allow me access to my full documents folder. I only have access to destop and the last few folders i have used. How can I get to my "documents" folder

When I want to save a Word document, I select "save as". The drop down menu does not give me access to my full documents folder - only desktop and a few folders that I have used most recently. How do i get acess to all my files to put the document where I want it?

Help!

iMac (27-inch, Late 2012), iOS 7.1.1

is it not logical to click Where?

No, not really. You can see the word "Where:" is static text, and the much more obvious place to click is the drop down menu right next to it.

It's the same logic as the "Save as:" text above it. It's pretty clear you type the name you want in the field to the right of the phrase Save as. Not click on the phrase before you can do it.
