Q: ITunes 11.2.1 syncing issue

Hi all can anyone help please.

I have just updated my iTunes to 11.2.1

Now when I connect my iphone 4s to sync music it comes up with a message saying that

"You are signed in with a different Apple Id than previously used with Podcasts. Do you want to sync these podcast subscriptions abd stations with xxx@xxxxxx.com"?

It then gives you the option to click either yes or no.

I click yes!

The issues is that when I want to change my music it will not change anything.

Even if I uncheck all my music and then try and sync again it tells me that it cant sync as there is no room on my iphone. Just to check if It was my phone or MAC I connected my iPod and that does exactly the same and will not sync.

Has anyone got any ideas please

Please sign out of the iTunes Store by selecting

    Store ▹ Sign Out

from the iTunes menu bar. Then sign back in.

The suggestion in my last comment relates to this:

"You are signed in with a different Apple Id than previously used with Podcasts. Do you want to sync these podcast subscriptions abd stations with xxx@xxxxxx.com"?

Do you still have that problem? The sync issue is different.

Hi yes I logged out and back in and it resolved the the part list below. Many thanks.

"You are signed in with a different Apple Id than previously used with Podcasts. Do you want to sync these podcast subscriptions abd stations with xxx@xxxxxx.com"?

Now nothing will sync at all, I simply get this error message now:

"The iPhone xxxxxxxxxx could not be synced because the sync session failed to start".

    any ideas on this?

    Cheers

Just an add to the above, I am now getting the same error with my iPad.......

    Back up all data.

Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:

    ~/Library/Application Support/SyncServices

Right-click or control-click the line and select

Services Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)

from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item selected. Quit the application if it's running. Move the selected item to the Trash. Relaunch the application and test.

*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination  command-C. In the Finder, select

    Go Go to Folder...

from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

Hi there, I deleted the file as requested and my iPhone did sync but just once.

After the sync it came up with the error message that "996 items could not be synced. See itunes for more information." the items that couldnt sync were all music bought through itunes????????

I just tried to sync it again and now it is giving me the same error message again ("The iPhone xxxxxxxxxx could not be synced because the sync session failed to start".) and will not sync.

    any other ideas?

Please test after taking each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Stop when the problem is resolved. Back up all data before making any changes.

    1. There may not be enough space on the device for all the items you've selected to sync. Check the Summary page in iTunes to see how much space is available, and if necessary, remove some items from the sync list.

    2. Remove all items from the sync list and try to sync. If successful, restore some of the items and try again.

    3. From the menu bar, select

    iTunes ▹ Preferences... ▹ Advanced

and click the button labeled Reset warnings.

    4. Delete the iPod Photo Cache. Quit and relaunch iTunes.

    5. As a last resort, erase the mobile device. Do this only if you have a backup in iTunes or iCloud of everything you want to keep.

Hi again, I have just gone into iTunes and unchecked ALL music from my iphone. I then closed iTunes and re-booted my mac up. I launched iTunes and connected my iPhone and clicked onto my Iphone to make sure all the music had been deleted.

To my surprise, according to the syc bar Ihave a full 32 gig of audio on my phone and nothing else????????

Even though I have unchecked ALL Music, Podcasts, Books, Photos & Movies. When I then check my phone nothing has changed at all. I have the same music, the same pod casts, the same photos etc etc....

I do not want to erase everything on my iPhone to solve an issue that has occured since iTunes was updated. Surley it would be better for iTunes to put out correct working programs that dont mess peoples iTunes library up......... or is too much to ask of Apple?
