setting up children on ipod

I have two kids i want to set up with Ipods (7 and 9) i have an ipod myself. how do i set it up so we can facetime each other and so they can have their own music accounts on itunes but still have it under my account? they don' thave their own email so i was hoping the solution was not to set them up with their own individual apple ids and apple accounts?

whats the simplest way to do this?

- You can create Apple ID but you have to create it in your name and supervise its use.

Purchases are locked to the account that purchased them and can't be moved to another ID/account.

I recommend that you

Create a NEW account/ID for them in your name using these instructions. Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. You must use an email address that you have not used with Apple before. Make sure you specify a birthdate that results in being at least 13 years old

Use the new ID on her iPod but only for:

Settings>Messages>Send and Receive

Settings>FaceTime

Settings>GameCenter

and Settings>iCloud if you want her to have separate Contacts Calendar and some other things.

Continue to use the same/common Apple ID for Settings>iTunes and App stores so you can share purchases.

For each of them to receive individual facetime calls or iMessages, they will each need their own Apple ID, and by virtue of that, need their own email address.
