May 29, 2014 7:09 PM in response to Geraldob263by BDAqua,Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, then move these files to the Desktop.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.systempreferences.plist
/Library/Preferences/com.apple.sharing.firewall.plist
(Then Trash the original of this one, as "moving" it only copies it.)
Then reboot once more.

May 31, 2014 4:18 PM in response to BDAquaby Geraldob263,Well I found that one, so I moved both to the desktop and rebooted. I then proceeded to connect to my wifi. Opened Safri and it worked for a while just fine. I kept browsing for a few minute and then it all locked up again.
I did look back where is was moving those files from to see if any copied itself and didn't see it there.
This is a funny thing. Before seeing your last message I was fiddling with this and notice a bit more that may tell someone out there something.
I can connect to my wifi without and locking up as lone as I have my dsl router off.
As soon as I turn that back on. BAM! It locks up! Only recorse is to reboot and as soon as it comes back up turn off the wifi, or turn of the dsl before it comepletes the reboot.

May 31, 2014 5:22 PM in response to Geraldob263by BDAqua,That should be a very good clue, but will have to ponder what it might mean!???

May 31, 2014 5:24 PM in response to Geraldob263by BDAqua,Oh wait...
Open console in Applications>Utilities, check the system log for the date/time of the last problem & the Startup right after that for clues.
click on the top line we want, Shift plus click on the bottom line we want, CMD+c to copy, then paste the text in a reply with CMD+v
A few dozen lines should be about right, hundreds or thousands won't likely be readable.

Jun 1, 2014 8:07 PM in response to Geraldob263by Geraldob263,There are a few other strange things going on. I loose from time to time a few keys from the keyboard. These being the 9, o, l, ., and both the up arrow and down arrow. Sometime I get them back from either repairing permissions or rebooting or something. But If I sign out I would need a few of those keys to get signed back in.
Plus the clock that I mentioned that me seeing it stop is the first sign I have of the comeing freeze. Once I had system preference opened and when the clock stopped in the menu bar it did not stop in Date & Time.

Jun 2, 2014 9:24 AM in response to Geraldob263by BDAqua,To find out if it's system wide or user specific, try this...
Open System Preferences>Accounts, unlock the lock, click on the little plus icon, make a new admin account, log out & into the new account.
Does it still happen in the new account?

Jun 2, 2014 6:23 PM in response to Geraldob263by BDAqua,I'm about out of ideas since both Airport & Ethernet do it... sorry.
Oh wait, can you connect Ethernet to another Cmputer directly for a try?
And what happened after this line & upto the crash?
