They do offer to recycle but that is hard;y worth what you can sell it for

Are you talking an old iBook G4 or G3 computer, or a book bought at the iTunes store? Apple recycled the name iBook from its pre-2006 computer when it started selling eBooks on the iTunes store. The computers aren't worth very much. Store purchases on the iTunes Store can be managed through this link:
